Our History
Responsible Investment Group has its roots in The Chicago Corporation, a venerable Chicago investment firm subsequently absorbed into ABN AMRO, a Dutch banking giant. In 1987 three Chicago Corporation advisors, Michael McGillicuddy, Frank Patzke and Ruth Guillaume, formed Responsible Investment Group to serve the rapidly increasing market for both retirement planning and socially responsible investment. In 1988 these advisors transitioned Responsible Investment Group from The Chicago Corporation to LPL Financial Services. In time both Frank and Ruth established suburban LPL offices and Mike and Responsible Investment Group remained in Chicago.
In 1998, Gregory Bork joined Responsible Investment Group. In 2005 Greg became both its president and registered principal. Claudia Turek joined the group in 2013, Danielle Hennesen, CFP ® in 2015 and Audra Miranda in 2018. Mike retired from the financial services industry in 2019. Today, Mike volunteers as a social worker with Kolbe House Jail Ministry and facilitates groups within Cook Country Jail. He also speaks extensively on the topic of cultural, political, religious and personal polarization.
